FOTO WIEN Festival Centre

The Atelier Augarten is located in Vienna's oldest baroque garden landscape. The building ensemble by Georg Lippert from the 1950s served the sculptor Gustinus Ambrosi as a studio, museum and flat. At the beginning of the noughties, the rooms were adapted by architect Susanne Zottl for exhibiting contemporary art. The exhibitions and programmes held here set important impulses in the local and national scene.


Now FOTO WIEN is once again bringing a breath of fresh air to this location for the duration of 19 days to celebrate the medium of photography, its range and current relevance.
