FRAGILE VISIONS
Exhibition
Projektraum Mag3 Schiffamtsgasse 17, 1020 Wien
6.—13.10.2025
Artists: Konyen Brigitte, Michlmayr Michael
In “FRAGILE VISIONS” Brigitte Konyen and Michael Michlmayr examine aspects of reality in a world that is characterized by technological upheaval, social change, and ecological challenges.

Brigitte Konyen: “In my “Promises” series, I translate affirmations into visual language to give the future a form and structure. The image creations reflect emotional states and examine one’s own mental state. In my “Moods” series, too, I address states of being. The work is to inspire people to conduct conversations with themselves and think about how to deal with the world around us.”

“In the video and photo work “Circling Wheel” from Michael Michlmayr, dynamism is made experienceable in the interplay between time and perception. A wheel turns, accelerating and slowing down and then apparently changing direction. Optical illusions that are inherent to the medium of film come into play.

In his video and photo work “Re-Conversion,” melting ice cubes are seen that form a small puddle before they again freeze into ice—a natural process that is irreversible in reality.
