Form and Content
Exhibition
Pop 14 Praterstraße 14, 1040 Wien
9.—16.10.2025
Artists: Ascher Clemens, Garmusch Peter
Clemens Ascher and Peter Garmusch investigate how everyday forms and artistic abstraction shape our perception. Their work questions the interaction of form and content and its impact on our future. Ascher’s small-format black-and-white photographs from the series “OF FORMS AND TRACES” show structures that are based on the everyday: longing for the analog in a world that is characterized by algorithms. In his large-format color photographs, Garmusch enlarges a single piece of popcorn to a monumental size, challenging scale and order. The exhibition invites visitors to think about the interdependence of perception, order, and change—as well as how much our expectations in terms of form influence the future that we are creating.
