Fresh Eye – Budapest, Wien, Belgrade
Exhibition
Collegium Hungaricum Wien Hollandstraße 4, 1020 Wien
22.9.—30.10.2025
Artists: Erdős Dénes, Fekete Veronika, Felder Lukas, Mitrovic Mitar, Repman Nađa, Wimmer-Etz Gerhard
Curator: Szilvia Mucsy
Dedicated to street photography, the exhibition presents the winner of FRESH EYE, the open call that invited photographers from the three countries Austria, Hungary and Serbia. The aim of the project was to explore the urban landscape and moments that define street life in Budapest, Vienna, and Belgrade and to create their own vision during summer 2024. How do the photographers reflect on the city? What is a fresh environment in their eyes? What makes a city special? What do they have in common? The answers are the colorful selection of modern life, history, culture, common values, or differences of these metropolises and the people living there that can create an overview of the spectacular cityscape.
The project was initiated by Budapest PhotoFestival and realized in partnership with Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest, Collegium Hungaricum Vienna, Collegium Hungaricum Belgrade, and Austrian Cultural Forum Belgrade together with FOTO WIEN festival and Belgrade Photo Month.
