Exhibition
fAN Kunstverein Mayergasse 3, 1020 Wien
4.—19.10.2025
Artists: Brucic Carmen, Fritz Claudia, Klemenc Judith, Meller Milena, Oberwalder Zita, Prantauer Christine S., Schöpfer Nora, Vill Maria, Wibmer Margret
Curator: Kunstverein Magazin Mayergasse
In a collective project, Carmen Brucic, Claudia Fritz, Judith Klemenc, Milena Meller, Christine S. Prantauer, Nora Schöpfer, Maria Vill, Margret Wibmer, and Zita Oberwalder explore relationships between bodies and spaces. Socially critical and identity-politics-related reflections as well as reflections poetical, ecological, and philosophical come together in a discussion of how reality is perceived, challenging fixed ideas and limitations. Both the concept and the organization of the project refer to the possibilities of feminist self-empowering and address the body as a place from the perspective of which we perceive the world—also in terms of and particularly in view of virtualizing technologies and artificial intelligence.

In the show, the medium of photography is expanded by installation-, painting-, and object-based approaches. In a collective process, the forms and content of the project are further developed for each new location. In 2024 the first version of the project was shown at the FOTOFORUM Innsbruck.
