Metamorphosis: fluid processes between the self and its world
Exhibition
OFFBEATS Studio Lindengasse 63/2/14, 1070 Wien
9.—19.10.2025
Artists: Putz Michaela, Schaschl Jasmin
Curator: Paula Marschalek
The exhibition creates a dialogue between artworks by Michaela Putz and Jasmin Schaschl that explores hybridity, processes of transformation, change, and their impact on us and our environment. It focuses on the self, which is not perceived as a static being but one that is influenced by external factors and shaped by social structures and phenomena. Putz investigates in her work the overlapping of memory, technology, and nature, using photography as her main medium. In her multidimensional approach, Schaschl explores subjects such as multilayeredness, temporality, and perception that are not only immanent to the working process but are also expressed in the content. It reflects on continuity and change, exploring how the past lives on in the present and shapes the future.
