Perceived Realities
Exhibition
Haus der Fotografie Wien – FotoSecession Rechte Wienzeile 85, 1050 Wien
7.—26.10.2025
Artists: Blacher David, Franceschetti Maria Luisa, Laubender Philipp, Moser Katharina, Nenning Klaus, Pichler Jürgen, Piñeiro Atienza Laura
“Perceived Realities” is an exhibition about authorship in the age of artificial creativity.

The exhibition was conceived, structured, and developed in terms of content in close collaboration with AI. This shifts the focus of the exhibition from photography as a medium to the issue of artificial authorship:

Can concepts that were developed with AI still be considered “authentic” artistic creations?
How does machine support affect our creative decision-making?
Can AI curate—or is it ultimately dependent on human guidance?

The exhibited works too are products of collaboration between humans and machines. The pairs of images on display show a range of various photographic genres and challenge the lines between analog, digital, and generative image production.

“Perceived Realities” consistently questions what is true. Visitors participate in the exhibition by using stickers to mark their choices.

The accompanying texts reveals how the works were created, noting which technological tools were used and the distribution of creative responsibility between humans and machines.
