TWO VIEWS ON PLANTS – 3D-Fotografie von Sebastian Cramer
Exhibition
Naturhistorisches Museum Wien Burgring 7, 1010 Wien
24.9.—1.3.2026
Artists: Cramer Sebastian
Curator: Tanja Schuster
This is because the NHM Vienna houses one of the ten largest botanical collections in the world. Plants are the basis for life as we know it, and no dynamic future is possible without making knowledge about plants a priority. They can also have a positive effect on our physical and mental well-being, and we invite visitors to experience plants in a different and perhaps totally new way.
Through various tours, we would like to showcase the photographic exhibitions at both venues, as well as the NHM Vienna’s scientific collections. This will enable a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of the museum’s botanical and fish collections, as well as the Archive for the History of Science and the research they support (none of the three have barrier-free access). There will also be opportunities to do tours of the “TWO VIEWS ON PLANTS” show with photographer Sebastian Cramer, curator of Foto Wien Mona Schubert, and scientific curator of the exhibition Tanja M. Schuster (barrier-free access).
