„What If…“
Exhibition
OHNE BUTTER x STUDIO SENZA Wildpretmarkt 3/20, 1010 Wien
4.—25.10.2025
Artists: Habsburg Gloria, Jiszda Oliver, Mambakasa Rod, Mia Pe, Radziabari Mona, Rainer Romy, Schandl Valentina, Schuster Chucky, Skyhoje, Wilvert Samantha
Curator: Sydney Dalscheid & Sophie M. Hollerweger
What if we could not only imagine the future, but actively shape it?
In this exhibition, ten photographers embark on speculative paths: with “What if…” questions, they design alternative realities and explore utopian, dystopian, or strikingly contemporary scenarios. What if our most hidden thoughts were visible? If a crafted reality deceived us? If we could liberate ourselves—politically, socially, artistically?

Photography, video installations, and AI-generated visual worlds enter into dialogue: selected works open up fields of tension between naturalness and artificial aesthetics. Some scenarios feel futuristic, others disturbingly close. Together, they challenge us to question familiar ways of thinking.

The mid-century showroom by ohne butter offers not only an extraordinary atmosphere but also embodies a stance: sustainable, untouched, open to new perspectives. The minimally furnished spaces underscore the authenticity of each statement—they are not merely a nostalgic backdrop, but active participants in the discourse on space and time.
