science touches
Exhibition
Die Graphische Leyserstraße 6, 1140 Wien
6.—10.10.2025
Artists: Bruckmayr Sebastian, Canale Alexandra, Pürzelmayer Emil, Roher Valentin, Schneglberger Marie
Curator: Agnes Prammer, Fabian Weiss, Craig Dillon
The group exhibition “science touches,” mounted by Die Graphische, is a photographic exploration of the complex points of contact between scientific, technological progress and anthropocentric experience. The curated works—prints, zines, and video installations—visualize projections of the future in which boundaries between corporality and technosphere are increasingly blurred. The participating photographers document the interfaces where epistemic innovations touch the individual literally and metaphorically.
The works that deal with the visualization of the invisible are particularly impressive—whether through their visualization of the invisible or through photographs that critically examine gender-specific codes in post-human contexts.
The exhibition “science touches” takes a critical look at the regime of knowledge and the dispositive of technology. The show reveals hidden prejudices in seemingly neutral processes and invites viewers to reflect on how progress forms us as individuals, challenges us, and ultimately touches us.
