As part of FOTO WIEN 2025, photographer Kathrin Feichtinger presents her new exhibition ‘futurperfekt : anderswo’ (future perfect: elsewhere) – a sensitive and multi-layered photographic reflection on time, memory and the potential of analogue imaging techniques in an increasingly digital world. What was captured on analogue film during a trip in 2019 only resurfaced in 2025 – and has since been reworked by hand, lovingly hand-coloured and transformed into large-format works. The series celebrates the poetry of imperfection and combines an almost forgotten craft with modern aesthetics.
